We are currently seeking an Events Operations Co-Ordinator. As the Events Operations Co-Ordinator, you will work alongside your colleagues and our clients to deliver exceptional events and a great supportive customer journey.
You will achieve this through continued positive customer communication, both verbal and written, alongside forming strong supplier relationships to aid in a smooth operational process.
The Job:
1. Co-ordinating large sports tournament events and educational seminars for school students.
2. Liaising with customers in a timely manner to gather group details, understand their requests, and confirm all elements of their booking.
3. Maintain accurate booking costings, ensuring all tours are completed within set budgets and client payments are received in the agreed time frames.
4. Working with suppliers/colleagues to confirm travel, accommodation, event partners, and venues.
5. Collaborate in producing detailed event plans and schedules, covering multiple groups and venues.
6. Organise logistics for multiple groups travelling at once.
7. Development of 'life-long' relationships with both client and supplier.
8. Playing a key role in the event delivery on the ground, regularly travelling to our events and working with groups and suppliers face to face.
9. Maintaining and continually improving customer documentation.
10. Researching and being passionate about subjects and sports.
11. Understanding of associate memberships and benefits to client & company.
12. Contribution to identifying improvements to work organisation and procedures.
Skills Required:
1. Proven experience of delivering exceptional customer service.
2. Experience of delivering events or detailed group travel itineraries.
3. Can-do attitude, with the ability to approach and resolve problems.
4. Ability to work at pace and to crucial deadlines, with strong time management.
5. A team player who wants to support the wider team, taking ownership of delivering a great customer experience and smooth operation from start to finish.
6. Analytical skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to follow procedures and keen to improve and develop them.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and accurate written and spoken English.
9. Commercial & financial awareness.
10. Adaptable and flexible.
The Package:
1. Salary: £22,600 - £25,000.
2. Working Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.
