Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Communications Executive, based in Luton with some work-from-home flexibility. The Communications Executive will be responsible for preparing press releases, developing and executing strategic communications plans, managing media relations, and crafting written content. This role involves day-to-day communication tasks, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear and effective messaging.
Qualifications
1. Ability to think creatively and strategically to see the bigger picture whilst retaining attention to detail alongside managing performance.
2. Ability to develop communication strategies to achieve campaign targets.
3. Creative thinker, skilled in adapting communication plans and the style of content for a range of audiences and channels (press releases, social media, e-mail marketing, speeches, media interviews).
4. Crisis communication and reputation management skills.
5. Knowledge of public relations strategies and tactics.
6. The ability to pivot plans at short notice and overcome challenges and identify solutions in an environment of fast-paced changes.
7. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels.
8. Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop and sustain strong business relationships with key stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor.
9. Strong network of media contacts, particularly in the facilities industry.
10. Experience with WordPress, as is an understanding of core SEO practices for on-page optimisation.
11. Experience with Adobe Design programmes including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premier Pro would be beneficial.
12. Must have a recognised Marketing and/or business-related qualification.
13. Demonstrable experience in marketing or communications.
14. Experience with CRMs and paid LinkedIn activity would be beneficial.
