We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Surgical dietitian to join our team here at Chelmsford.
You will join a dietetic team that has many specialist areas within this surgical role including but not exclusively UGI, Head and Neck, Critical Care and Parenteral Nutrition.
If you are an enthusiastic, innovative, and motivated Dietitian with a passion for Nutrition within Surgery, this may be your opportunity.
This post would be suitable for a highly motivated dietitian who already has knowledge and experience of working with a cohort of surgical patients. You will work closely with MDTs to provide seamless dietetic care along the patient’s pathway. You will also be involved in Parenteral nutrition within the department to support patients who may require this.
You will be expected to supervise and mentor junior members of staff, as well as student dietitians and Dietetic Assistants
Provide dietetic assessment, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring for patients within the surgical specialities within Broomfield Hospital.
Developing and delivering individualised treatment plans, whilst maintaining accurate patient records.
As an autonomous practitioner, have responsibility for own case load and be responsible for delivery of nutrition and dietetics to surgical services working without direct supervision.
Be involved in student training and the development of junior staff.
Undertake evidence-based audit and service improvement projects and make recommendations to the dietetic lead for changes to practice by team
May lead the implementation of specific changes to practice or contribute to service protocols.
