Following the introduction of HIVE, our electronic patient record system, the roles and processes for our administrative staff have changed significantly. We are looking for new people to join our fabulous team. You might be at the beginning of your career and want to gain experience to grow into more senior administrative/managerial roles in the future, or you might want a career change and move into the NHS for the first time.
Main duties of the job
We’re looking for people who are keen to develop, are organised, and adaptable. You need to have good computer skills and be able to follow rules and regulations in managing patients waiting for appointments and treatments.
You will need good communication skills and enjoy working with different colleagues across the organisation. You should feel comfortable talking to patients either on the telephone or face to face.
The roles available are a variety of secretarial, administrative, and clerical roles, some managing general inpatient and outpatient pathways. Postholders may work in specific services such as Bone Health, TIA, Hospital at Home, or Parkinson's Disease services. The positions will be across most of our hospital sites (Wythenshawe, Withington, and Trafford). A rotation for these roles may be available if the successful candidates are keen on gaining a variety of experience.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative issues relating to patients’ pathway of care, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide support in managing the patient pathway from referral to discharge.
The post holder will ensure high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, focused, and knowledgeable point of contact. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies will describe how the functions of the role will be carried out, along with the timescales to which are to be adhered.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Business Administration Level 2 or equivalent experience
* A*- C GCSE in English & A* - C GCSE in Math or equivalent
Experience
* Experience of working in an office environment
* Experience of working in the NHS or other Healthcare setting
Skills
* Experience dealing with customer complaints and customer care
* Computer and typing skills
* Good organisation skills and willingness to learn
* Understanding of medical terminology
* Knowledge of NHS service provision including the pathway of care and RTT
Personal Attributes
* Willingness to develop good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
* Team player who is ready to take ownership and has a flexible, responsive approach to work.
