The Role: We’re seeking a dynamic and organised Assistant Editor or Editor, with a keen eye for detail, to join our editorial team. Reporting to the Group Editor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth production of two magazines and their associated digital platforms. We are looking for either an Assistant Editor who is looking to take the next step in their career (with a view to progressing to Editor) or an experienced Editor to lead one of our market-leading titles.
Key Responsibilities:
·Plan, produce and commission engaging editorial content that aligns with our target audience’s needs.
·Edit and proofread news stories and articles to maintain our high editorial standards.
·Publish multiple news stories daily across our websites and social media.
·Compile weekly newsletters
·Assist in managing the publication schedule and ensuring deadlines are met.
·Monitor industry news and trends to inspire fresh editorial content.
·Represent the publication at industry events and assist where necessary with in-house events.
·Develop and nurture relationships with industry professionals.
About You:
·Editorial experience in magazine publishing, ideally within the B2B sector.
·Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with impeccable attention to detail.
·Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS) and basic knowledge of SEO principles.
·Expertise in creating and publishing engaging content across diverse social media platforms.
·Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
