About the Role: Winlight Recruitment is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join Ealing Council’s Children’s Duty and Assessment Team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families, working within a supportive and dynamic team. As a Social Worker in this team, you will manage a manageable caseload, undertake initial assessments, and respond to duty calls as part of a rotating duty schedule every 5 weeks. The role requires you to be in the office every Thursday, with the flexibility to work from home on other days. Key Responsibilities: Undertake initial assessments and respond to duty calls for children and families in need of support. Manage a manageable caseload of children and families, ensuring timely and effective interventions. Provide high-quality assessments, care plans, and reports in line with statutory requirements. Participate in the duty rota, ensuring that urgent referrals and safeguarding concerns are addressed promptly. Work collaboratively with other professionals, including health, education, and other social care teams. Attend the office every Thursday, with the flexibility to work from home on other days. Attend meetings, case reviews, and provide support to other team members as required. Required Qualifications & Experience: A Social Work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent) and HCPC registration. At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in a children’s social work setting. Experience in conducting assessments and working in a duty and assessment capacity is desirable. A strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practices. Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
