The opportunity
Our client is currently seeking an experienced skilled Vendor Testing and Commissioning Engineer to join our team for a 12-month contract opportunity in the nuclear sector. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the commissioning phase, ensuring all testing and inspection activities are carried out efficiently and to high standards.

This role has been deemed inside IR35
This role is located in Whitehaven
4 days on - 4 off x 12 hour rolling shift pattern
Your duties and responsibilities will be
Carry out vendor testing witnessing duties at works test.
Prepare plant commissioning test specifications.
Perform early inspection of site installations to facilitate system handovers.
Execute testing activities throughout the IPC commissioning phase.
Identify faults and propose solutions, implementing corrective actions as required.
Organise Commissioning Technicians and coordinate necessary support resources.
Initiate and implement Field Operations Bulletins (FOBs).
Validate Working Level Instructions.
Apply and remove Temporary Commissioning Aids as required.You will have the following qualifications and experience
Experience in nuclear CE&I systems commissioning.
Minimum HNC/HND in an Engineering-related subject.
Proven experience in nuclear commissioning.
Project management knowledge, preferably with APM membership.
Ability to produce calculations using Excel.
IOSH Managing Safely certification.
SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
CSCS/ECS supervisory card relevant to the trade.Design Tools/Software
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.Please note: You must be eligible to gain security clearance for this position. The setting for the role Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a nuclear licenced site. These can include, nuclear fuel, radiation, chemicals and gasses, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise and vibration levels. A full site induction will be provided and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
