Class Teacher - SEMH Nottingham March 2025 Pay to Scale This is a wonderful opportunity to join a special school in Nottingham and become part of a dedicated team supporting students aged 7-16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a SEND Teacher, you'll serve as a mentor and role model, guiding students towards achieving the best possible outcomes. This exciting role is available as the school continues to pursue its mission of delivering outstanding education to all its pupils. This role is on a full-time permanent basis. Key responsibilities include: Working towards the objectives outlined in each child’s EHCP Designing and delivering a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum for pupils, while supporting a designated curriculum area as needed Monitoring and supporting the overall progress and development of pupils in your care Facilitating a learning environment that enables students to achieve their full potential Contributing to the improvement of pupil attainment standards Collaborating with the school to provide opportunities for personal growth and enjoyment The ideal candidate will have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and substantial teaching experience Experience in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) or SEMH setting Background in working with vulnerable young people and families Strong understanding of SEMH needs and effective support strategies Flexibility, approachability, and resilience under pressure, with a positive and energetic attitude Team Teach training (preferred but not essential) A commitment to achieving the best outcomes for students and fostering a positive school culture Due to the nature of the roles, candidates must be UK residents residing within the local area.
