Job Description:
Our client that has been established for nearly 20 years is seeking a Systems Trainer & Support Specialist with experience gained in training and a helpdesk role. You will provide user training and support to our customer base. You should be a self-starter, a confident individual, and a team player. Responsibilities:
Overall Purpose of Job:
1. Provide remote and onsite software training.
2. Provide helpdesk support and undertake testing for bespoke software solutions.
3. Contribute to the overall success of the business in line with agreed company targets and objectives.
Responsibilities:
Training
1. Travel to new and existing customers providing on-site training.
2. Provide training in a working environment.
3. Provide training for trainers.
4. Provide web-based training.
Helpdesk
1. Answer inbound calls and communicate with clients.
2. Assist with Helpdesk calls and subsequent call management.
3. Provide first and second-line technical support.
4. Manage client communications through numerous channels.
5. Deliver excellent customer service.
6. Offer ideas on how to improve our service and process.
Testing
1. Carry out functional and manual testing.
2. Write and execute test scripts.
3. Work with software developers and project support teams.
4. Test in different environments including web, desktop, and mobile.
5. Write bug reports and review technical documentation.
6. Provide objective feedback to software development project teams.
7. Communicate findings to technical and non-technical colleagues.
Policies and Procedures
1. Comply with all ISO policies and procedures.
2. Comply with all DSP policies and procedures.
General
1. Contribute to the development of computer system solutions through the appropriate product development panel.
2. Ensure good customer relationships are built and maintained in all sales regions.
3. Complete the company's standard administrative documentation within the defined timescales.
4. Maintain personal training records.
5. Participate in any other duties deemed appropriate by the IT Manager, Managing Director, or the CEO.
Personal Profile:
1. Experience in providing training or a similar role.
2. Experience in After Sales Service and Support or a similar role.
3. Good IT skills required for the computerised traceability products (e.g., Desktop operating systems, Microsoft Office).
4. Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
5. Ability to organise and prioritise workload to achieve deliverables.
6. Good verbal communication skills.
7. Polite, pleasant, and helpful on the telephone and in general.
8. Good written communication skills when liaising with other staff and customers.
9. Prepared to travel and stay away from home when required.
10. Flexible in terms of tasks undertaken.
11. Able to identify areas for improvement and introduce improved processes and procedures.
12. Able to adapt to new processes and procedures.
13. Attention to detail and produce accurate, error-free written materials.
14. Hold a current driving licence.
