Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Weekend Care Assistant to join our team in Havant, United Kingdom. As a Weekend Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes or care facilities during weekend hours.
1. Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
2. Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary requirements are met
3. Help with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment when necessary
4. Administer medication as directed and maintain accurate records
5. Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship
6. Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical or mental condition
7. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients
8. Collaborate with other care team members to ensure continuity of care
9. Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies or unexpected situations
10. Uphold client dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
11. Compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to help others
12. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
13. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
14. Physical fitness to assist with mobility and personal care tasks
15. Strong time management and organizational skills
16. Patience and understanding when working with vulnerable individuals
17. Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect client privacy
18. Willingness and availability to work weekends consistently
19. Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules
20. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication
21. First aid certification (preferred)
22. Previous experience in a similar care role (preferred)
23. Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation may be required
