Meraki Talent is partnered with a leading financial services firm to appoint an HR Business Partner to their Edinburgh team for 4 months. This contract offers an excellent day rate and hybrid working.
As an HR Business Partner (HRBP), you will serve as a strategic partner and consultant to business leaders, providing expert HR guidance and support to drive organizational performance and growth. You will be responsible for aligning HR practices with business objectives, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring the effective implementation of HR initiatives. The HRBP plays a critical role in talent management, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with business leaders to understand their goals and challenges, and develop HR strategies that support business objectives.
* Provide insights and recommendations on HR-related issues, including workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development.
* Act as a trusted advisor to management on all HR matters.
* Promote a positive work environment and employee engagement through effective communication and employee recognition programs.
* Ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies.
* Oversee the performance appraisal process, guiding managers on setting goals, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
* Assist in developing performance improvement plans and monitor progress.
* Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
* Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations, talent management, and organizational development.
* Proven experience working as an HR Business Partner within a financial or professional services environment
* Strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
* Proven problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
