Complaint Handler/Safety and Quality Coordinator
Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
As part of our integration and the recent transformational patient safety programme, we have an opportunity to join the Clinical Specialist Support Care group as the designated case handler for complaints and safety and quality administration for the care group.
Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients stay healthy when they need it most.
Job responsibilities
The role will involve speaking to patients, relatives, carers, and members of the public, ensuring that any enquiries are handled in a caring, compassionate, and professional manner. You need to have a calm disposition and be able to use all types of media such as Microsoft Teams, phone, email, and occasionally meet face-to-face when supporting local resolution meetings.
The role will involve coordinating and writing complaint responses on behalf of the Care group and liaising with other care groups when the complaint is about cross-care group services.
This is a new role to the organisation as you will support the patient experience agenda and assist the care group in delivering effective governance processes in patient safety and quality by offering administration support to the Safety and Quality improvement manager and Deputy. You will work as part of the experienced proactive Care Group patient safety and quality team and can be based either in our Exeter or Barnstaple offices, working as part of a hybrid office-based and work-from-home model.
