Join to apply for the Senior Residential Children's Practitioner role at CEMP.
Senior Residential Children's Practitioner | 7649 | permanent contract | 37 hours per week | £36,124 to £37,938 per annum | Grade I | Hindolveston Children's Home
At Norfolk County Council, our commitment to providing proven, quality, holistic residential services for young people aged 7-17 aims to achieve excellent outcomes and lasting results.
We are passionate about the provision of creative and ambitious opportunities for our young people, supporting them to thrive and develop in a nurturing and safe environment which promotes the emotional and physical well-being of children.
Hindolveston is a two-bed children's residential home. The home takes placements when, at the time of admission, the young person's assessed needs can reasonably be met by the service with support from other external services such as health, education, and social care.
As the Senior Practitioner, you will be expected to contribute to an assessment of the child's needs. You will be part of the management team and required to take part in the out-of-hours on-call system. You will be joining a highly motivated and enthusiastic team who endeavor to make significant changes in young people's lives.
A social work qualification or nursing degree, or relevant experience, is required for this residential home. Ideally, you will have a background in residential care or be experienced in working with children. You will be expected to supervise residential staff.
To work within this environment, you will need to be committed to making a difference in the lives of young people. You will need to be reliable, have good personal relationship and communication skills as well as high professional standards.
You will work 37 hours per week plus on calls and occasional shift cover/weekend work.
Before you apply, we recommend reading the full Job Description and Person Specification to help you demonstrate you meet the criteria we are looking for.
