Anderson Knight is currently recruiting a Merchandising and Sales Manager to join one of our clients based in Glasgow City Centre.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory, sales forecasts, and ensuring our products are effectively marketed to maximise profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail, product management, and sales, with a proven track record of optimising sales performance through creative and strategic merchandising.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to maximise product visibility, enhance the customer experience, and increase sales.
* Collaborate with product development, marketing, and retail teams to ensure accurate product assortment, pricing, and promotional activities.
* Analyse market trends, customer preferences, and competitor strategies to make data-driven recommendations for product placement and merchandising.
* Monitor and track sales performance, inventory levels, and stock replenishment to ensure products are readily available to meet customer demand.
* Train and mentor sales staff on effective merchandising techniques and customer engagement strategies.
* Work closely with the sales team to set and achieve sales targets, while managing budgets and resource allocation for merchandising efforts.
* Conduct regular store visits and audits to ensure merchandising standards are maintained and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred).
* Strong understanding of retail trends, customer behaviour, and sales analytics.
* Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve targets and enhance sales performance.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
* Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
