Venator is currently recruiting for an E&I to join the ICON Maintenance team, Greatham site.
The overall purpose of the E&I Technician role is to maintain the plant electrical and instrumentation equipment ensuring adherence to the weekly maintenance plan and responding to injected work as determined by the MEI FLM.
Job responsibilities include:
1. Complete planned and emergent work to the site I/E Standard and report any nonconformances that may impact on EHSQ standards or equipment reliability.
2. Coordinate maintenance work on the plant by adherence to the Safe Systems of Work, procedure e.g., risk assessment, permit to work authorisation and HTMP8116.
3. Carry out functional and evaluation tests on specialised instrument/electrical systems ensuring that Quality Assurance systems and procedures are adhered to, so that all systems and records are up to date.
4. Utilise various IT systems to interact with the plant to aid fault diagnosis i.e., Mod 300, Delta V etc.
5. Present information comprehensively, accurately, and legibly via electronic logs, inputting data into SAP and by giving and receiving detailed and accurate handovers.
6. Test and commission any new or any modifications to existing instrument/electrical systems as and when required.
7. Respond effectively to planned and emergent I/E issues, selecting appropriate course of action, communicating with the MEI FLM, as necessary.
8. Identify and recommend improvements to enhance plant stability, maximize uptime and quality. Apply problem-solving skills including root cause analysis, to solve operating and maintenance problems.
9. Live and demonstrate behaviours that drive a positive values-based culture.
10. Provide flexible cover for other technicians as and when required.
Candidate requirements:
Job-Related work experience, Skills/Knowledge Requirements:
11. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering.
12. Preferably educated to HNC level or equivalent, as well as completion of time served Electrical apprenticeship.
