We are looking for a KS3 P.E Teacher for our mainstream secondary school in Chester.
Role Overview:
As a Key Stage 3 PE teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that inspire and engage students in physical education. Your role will involve creating an inclusive learning environment that encourages both physical activity and personal development, with a strong emphasis on building teamwork, leadership, and resilience through sport.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, deliver, and assess engaging PE lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students at Key Stage 3.
2. Promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles, both within and outside the classroom.
3. Foster an inclusive and supportive environment for all students.
4. Work collaboratively with other staff members to support the wider school community and extracurricular activities.
5. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to help students improve and achieve their full potential.
6. Participate in school events, sports competitions, and school trips as appropriate.
7. Contribute to the development of the PE curriculum and resources.
8. Ensure that health and safety standards are adhered to in all lessons and activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. A qualified teacher with a relevant degree or teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
2. A strong understanding of the national curriculum for physical education and Key Stage 3.
3. Experience teaching PE in a school setting (ideally at Key Stage 3 level).
4. Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students of all abilities.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. A commitment to professional development and a passion for supporting students' personal and academic growth.
