Using a combination of innovative approaches, existing/adapted technologies and recognised, trusted security governance and risk standards, we focus on identifying and reducing CS&IA risks to information and information systems to assure confidence and maximise digital operational resilience. About the role To meet our growth aspirations, we are currently looking for a full-time Land & Training Business Development Lead to join our world-class team looking at the Land & Training sectors, where we are supporting the MoD directly and the Tier 1 defence primes, as well as major Tier 2 and 3 contractors. Reporting into the Principal Business Development Manager for training, your primary role will be to f eed the business units that can deliver work in the Training and Land Sectors a challenging flow of attractive and winnable opportunities, developing the company s offer. You will target areas and opportunities for consolidation, innovation, disruption, and growth, as well as developing business opportunities in adjacent markets. You will also generate draft written material for bid and tender submissions, ensuring they meet both customer specifications and company standards. Responsibilities You will become the primary focal point for the following: Represent the company within the Pirbright office, engaging with the Army customer and looking for additional opportunities. Identify, track, pursue and bid for opportunities in collaboration with the Training Business Unit team and the marketing & sales team. Provide support to the Head of Land Systems in developing and managing the Army/Land training portfolio of opportunities. Develop CDS DS business in UK defence and security sectors, and adjacent markets to drive a strong future pipeline of work, g rowing sustainable revenue and profits. Meet or exceed agreed order intake targets, as well as return on business development investment activity. Provide market intelligence, strategic options and sales pipelines and forecasts into business planning activities to ensure delivery against key performance metrics, with a strong emphasis on new business sales (client, competition and market), balancing near, mid-term and strategic opportunities to maximise overall revenue generation. Reinforce long-term client relationships and work streams, spanning multiple service offerings. Seek and build new client relationships to ensure the business has a diverse and resilient client-base, encouraging enduring engagement to CDS DS. Contribute as a member of the CDS S&MT team, maintaining oversight of project delivery activity and quality, to ensure client expectations are suitably managed. Following an agreed strategy, work with the Head of Marketing, Heads of Business Unit and Technical Leads to drive the specification and production of high-quality marketing materials including web-presence. Skills, Qualifications and Experience The successful candidate will have the following skills, qualifications, and experience: Have a proven track record of performing well in a sales role in a consultancy/professional services environment. Has experience of either working in the UK Armed Forces or working closely alongside in the Land & Training areas. Have a strong awareness of the following areas: Land Systems Equipment & Vehicle Support Strategies DSAT training methodologies Future UK technology & training developments You will also: Have an existing network of customers and influential industry players to further influence and expand. Have the personal drive and appetite to grow a successful business further, able to achieve stretch targets and business development goals.
