Peaple Talent have partnered with a long-standing client to hire for a remote Zendesk Engineer. The successful candidate will be the primary expert on all things Zendesk, responsible for optimizing the platform to meet the needs of stakeholders. You will help refine workflows to develop custom scripts using Zendesk APIs.
This role will combine hands-on configuration with development, providing you with the chance to directly impact our client’s customer support experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide solutions to business challenges by making configuration adjustments using your expertise in Zendesk, modifying code, and developing custom applications and integrations.
* Address day-to-day requests submitted to the team via tickets.
* Manage and adjust Zendesk settings in the Admin Center, including workflows, automations, triggers, business rules, and user permissions.
* Monitor Zendesk’s performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
* Build and maintain custom scripts and integrations utilizing the Zendesk API (such as REST API, webhooks) to enhance Zendesk’s capabilities and integrate it with other systems.
* Actively participate in enhancing our Zendesk platform and processes.
* Diagnose and resolve Zendesk-related issues, escalating to Zendesk support when needed.
* Keep up with the latest Zendesk features and updates.
* Document Zendesk configurations, customizations, and standard operating procedures.
Key Experience Required:
* Proven experience in configuring and managing Zendesk, with a comprehensive understanding of its key features and functionalities.
* Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
* Hands-on experience with Zendesk’s APIs and scripting capabilities.
* A proactive, self-driven mindset, passionate about delivering high-quality solutions.
* Proficient in Python, JSON, APIs, Webhooks and Git.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, capable of collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for efficiently identifying and resolving technical issues.
