You will be providingprofessional specialist leadership and effective management of resources the successful candidate will support the radiotherapyservices at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre (MVCC) ensuring high standards of nursing care are delivered to all patients attending for treatment. You will work closely with the radiotherapy team always fostering multidisciplinary working. You will provide visible leadership and maintain local and national standards working alongside the senior nursing team and MDT, adhering to the clinical governance framework and audit/evaluation of the service and patient experience. Main duties of the job The matron will act as a resource, providing advice, information and support for patients, relatives, carers, health professionals and all multidisciplinary team members in relation to all aspects of cancer and its treatment. Ensure the provision of evidence-based practice, high quality standards of care that reflect best clinical practice through, evaluation, audit and by active participation in local and national review processes. Embed a workforce culture that is built on psychological safety, ensuring staff are heard and included in the developments of their service. Prioritise their wellbeing and support staff retention. Support the implementation of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) by developing and maintaining effective systems in response to patient safety incidents. Utilise the learning response tools to ensure a focus on learning and promotion of a just culture.
