Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Front of House Team Leader to join our bustling pub team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for customer service, leadership skills, and the ability to create a welcoming and vibrant environment for our guests. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the front of house, guiding the team to deliver exceptional service, and helping to maintain our pub’s welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership: Supervise and support the front-of-house team during shifts, providing guidance, motivation, and training to ensure high-quality service.
2. Customer Service: Set the standard for customer service, engaging with guests, handling complaints professionally, and ensuring that all patrons have a positive experience.
3. Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, and managing stock levels.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service, clear communication, and quick problem-solving.
5. Sales Support: Assist in promoting specials, upselling products, and monitoring sales targets to contribute to the pub’s profitability.
6. Compliance: Ensure that health, safety, and hygiene standards are met, and that the pub complies with licensing laws and company policies.
7. Reporting: Provide regular feedback to management on team performance, customer satisfaction, and operational improvements.
Skills & Qualifications
1. Previous Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within a pub, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
2. Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
3. Customer-Focused: Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering excellent service.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills.
5. Problem-Solving: Quick-thinking and able to handle challenging situations professionally.
6. Flexibility: Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
7. Licensing Knowledge: Knowledge of health, safety, and licensing regulations is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
