Purpose
We are currently in search of a passionate and experienced Learning and Development Trainer. This pivotal role is dedicated to crafting and delivering comprehensive training programs meticulously tailored to empower our staff members with the essential skills and knowledge they need. These programs are designed to enhance proficiency across our advice lines, encompassing benefits and debt.
It is desirable that you have experience in welfare benefits and/or debt as well as delivering innovative and practical training.
Major Duties
1. Ensuring training courses are researched, created, and delivered to a high standard, using the latest developments and technology.
2. Monitoring and assessing the skill level of each member of staff within the organisation.
3. Maintaining the external training accreditations awarded to the organisation.
4. Maintaining knowledge of the latest developments within the knowledge areas the organisation addresses as well as the latest learning and development techniques.
Main Duties
* Researching and producing required outcomes and learning strategies required in each subject area of the organisation.
* Develop varied and inspiring teaching materials needed to carry out the courses required within the organisation.
* Develop interesting and thought-provoking materials for staff to complete.
* Develop material over a wide range of platforms.
* Ensure all course materials comply with and meet the accreditations standard.
* Record podcasts and presentations to enhance the training library.
* To take part in the delivery of conferences/events/seminars/presentations/workshops promoting the organisation to staff, stakeholders, and partner organisations.
Monitoring and Assessing Skills
* Develop and maintain a training plan linked to each job description.
* Ensure each member of staff has an individual training plan and that plan is linked to their current and future job role.
* Update and monitor the training calendar.
* Assist with the scheduling and/or coordination of training sessions, booking, and notifying all relevant parties.
* Seek feedback on training from all levels of staff. Using the feedback to inform delivery changes in the future.
Maintaining Training Accreditations
* Review and research the standards required by the training accreditation awarded to the organisation.
* Comply with the administration of the standards.
Maintaining Knowledge of Developments
* Understand the knowledge required across the different projects.
* Ensure full understanding of both the customer and agent journeys across the organisation.
* Assess the gap analysis of knowledge and produce and undertake a plan to remove the gap.
* Continue with personal development in subject areas and areas of learning and development.
Required Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum experience of 2 years as a trainer.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships.
* Minimum experience of 2 years of Scottish benefits and welfare/Debt.
* Proven track record in delivering comprehensive benefits-related training programs.
* Relevant learning and development qualifications.
* Experience in delivering/creating training within an advice sector/contact centre environment.
