HARWICH AND DOVERCOURT HIGH SCHOOL LEAD PRACTITIONER OF MATHEMATICS Pay Range: Leadership Pay Range Actual Salary from: £53,602 – £59,167 (Points L4-L8) Start Date: 1st September 2025 (Earlier Start Negotiable) The Role We are seeking an outstanding individual to improve student outcomes and engagement by ensuring the quality of teaching and learning is of a strong standard in the faculty. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Have teaching skills which lead to excellent results Take on a role as a Visiting Fellow for Ambition Institute and contribute to the Trust's ECT programme. Take a lead role, working closely with the senior leadership team and other lead practitioners in developing, implementing and evaluating policies and practices that lead to school improvement Ensure the HDHS standard of learning across the school in liaison with the Deputy Headteacher through coaching and mentoring staff Lead structured monitoring and evaluation of all aspects of teaching and learning through lesson observations, feedback to teaching staff, work sampling and learner interviews, providing written reports to the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team as necessary (The full details can be found in the attached Job Outline and Person Specification).
