Area: Birmingham B27, Acock's Green
Day Rate: £90 - £105
Days: Monday - Friday (Term Time Only)
Contract: Long term to Perm

Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our partner primary school in the Acock's Green area, working with Key Stage 2 pupils. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for supporting children with SEN, offering a chance to make a real difference in their academic and social development. This long-term opportunity has the potential to transition into a permanent position for the ideal candidate.
The Role:
- Deliver one-to-one support to Key Stage 2 pupils with SEN, implementing tailored strategies to address their unique needs.
- Lead small group sessions that promote engagement, social interaction, and cooperative learning for pupils with SEN.
- Encourage active involvement in classroom activities, ensuring a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
- Provide targeted interventions to enhance pupils' personal development, boost their confidence, and support their overall wellbeing within the school environment.
What we are looking for:
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or a relevant degree.
- Prior experience working in a primary school setting, preferably within Key Stage 2.
- Additional CPD such as TeamTeach or Positive Behaviour Management, which would be highly beneficial.
- Expertise in managing challenging behaviours, with a solid understanding of effective behaviour management strategies.
- Practical experience providing support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
