What’s in the role and what are we looking for? We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Assistant Buyer to join our Buying team. This is an entry level role suited to someone who is looking to start their career within the world of buying. As a Trainee Assistant Buyer, you’ll work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same. It’s important that you have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail and a flexible approach to work. Full training will be provided. Below you will find an insight into what you’ll be doing and the benefits when you come on board at Cotton Traders Key responsibilities: Approving lab dips in a timely manner. Liaising with suppliers as well as Buying, Merchandising, Technical and Creative teams. Maintaining the weekly critical path to ensure production is on track. Managing the sample library and preparing photo samples for photoshoots. Attending weekly fit sessions with the Buying and Technical team. Completing Day to day administration required to assist the AB and Buyer to ensure the efficient buying of product. Updating key diary dates, to ensure deadlines are met in an organised and timely manner. What you need to excel in this role? A qualification in fashion buying or similar is preferred but not essential. A keen eye for colour and trend. Good time management skills. Adaptable and flexible approach Excellent attention to detail Experience of using Microsoft office (excel, powerpoint, word) essential. What’s on offer?
