Ritelite (Systems) Ltd, a leading manufacturer of innovative mobile and portable area lighting and power systems, is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join their finance team.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial management and leadership, with a strong background in the manufacturing sector. As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for managing the site finance team, ensuring the smooth running of the finance department, and providing high-quality information reporting to the Managing Director and Senior Leaders.
You will lead and develop a team of 2, overseeing purchase, sales, and tax-related matters, producing accurate financial reports, and implementing effective internal controls. Your role will also involve Capital Projects, Tax Credits, Cash flow forecasting, Payroll, HR, VAT Returns, Systems implementation, and financial accounting.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and influence the finance function within a successful and well-established business. The ideal candidate will have experience in the manufacturing/engineering sector, looking to further expand their experience and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Day-to-day management of the Finance & HR team to ensure the smooth running of the finance department
* Key role within the Senior Management Team
* Reporting directly to the owner and MD
Finance:
* Overseeing the Finance Team, managing statutory reporting for the Group
* Production of year-end journals and accurate period-end closure
* Reviewing and monitoring accounting processes and practices, improving where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations
* Managing the year-end process, leading the annual audit
* Ensuring the business meets all statutory and compliance obligations, including Companies House filings, statutory accounting, and tax issues
HR:
* Processing monthly and weekly payroll for the Group
* Production of year-end payroll reporting, including forms P11D
* Providing support for HR-related issues
* Supporting all on-boarding processes for new employees
Systems and IT:
* In integral role in system integration and development
* Ensuring appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained, working collaboratively with the IT department
Ad Hoc:
* Reviewing all Insurance policies are in place for the group
* Specific project work as required
* Management of Tenants to group properties
Skill, Qualifications & Experience:
* ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified Accountant
* Proven work experience as Head of Finance or similar role
* Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
* Advanced user of Excel
* Experience of Financial reporting on a monthly basis and ability to meet tight deadlines
* Experience of year-end processes, production of statutory accounts
* Strong communication skills
* Hands-on management accounting experience and commercial acumen
* Proactive in proposing and implementing improvements to the business
* Business Systems implementation advantageous
* Exposure to R&D/Patent Box Claims advantageous
* HR experience advantageous
Salary: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per annum
