Role Overview: As an Art Teacher, you will: Teaching and Curriculum: Deliver engaging, high-quality art lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level Art for the right candidate. Develop and adapt curriculum materials to ensure students are provided with a creative, enriching experience in line with national standards and the needs of our school community. Foster a love for the arts, encouraging students to express themselves through various artistic media and techniques. Student Progress: Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive, encouraging feedback that supports both academic achievement and personal growth. Use assessment data to inform teaching, addressing individual needs and ensuring all students are supported in reaching their full potential. Professional Development: Engage in reflective practice and contribute to the ongoing development of the Art department and the school community. Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and initiatives that contribute to the cultural and creative life of the school. Candidate Requirements: Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). A Bachelor’s degree in Art, Fine Art, Design, or a related discipline (desirable). Experience: Experience teaching Art at secondary school level, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
