What you’ll be doing The role of Development Project Manager sits within the Transmission Major Projects function of SP Energy Networks. In this role you will be the owner and driving force for a range of major electricity transmission projects from concept through to project handover into delivery units. As project manager you will be expected to provide leadership and co-ordination across internal and external stakeholder groups to ensure that projects are ready for delivery within agreed timescales. Lead on programme development and planning activities associated with major projects Build early project teams to help lead the project through early development stages Effectively manage project risk and opportunities across the project lifespan Ensure project complies with the SP Transmission Integrated Management System Identify and understand interactions between live projects and develop initiatives which look to create efficiencies between these projects. Work with outage planning to ensure project outage needs are fully informed by the requirements of our investment programme. Develop and maintain accurate expenditure forecasts and output projections for projects during the development stage Build relationships with customer representatives on projects while striving to achieve excellent customer service. Liaise with Wayleave and Environmental Planning teams to ensure any consents requirements on projects are captured Ensure any regulatory changes introduced are managed to avoid negative impacts on major project development and deliverability Communicate programme development and project status to stakeholders Engage and drive process improvement initiative in collaboration with colleagues and other stakeholders, particularly in relation to the project development stages Mange project handover into delivery teams following end of development phase of works. What you’ll bring You will be an experienced Project Manager with experience of managing projects at development phase. Having the ability to deliver excellent customer service will be key in this role along with the ability to make balanced decisions and be able to communicate and lead a muti-disciplined team.
