Interim CFO (6 months) Central London Circa £1000 per day We are working with an established FMCG business seeking an Interim CFO to help guide the organisation through a critical phase of transformation and consolidation. This is an opportunity to make a substantial impact by stabilising the company, strengthening external relationships, and driving key financial initiatives. As the Interim CFO, you will take the lead in financial stabilisation, spearhead refinancing efforts, and oversee the development of a detailed and achievable budget for 2025. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will also work closely with the executive team to deliver strategic outcomes. Primary Responsibilities Secure Financial Stability : Evaluate and address pressing financial issues, implementing immediate actions to ensure stability. Refinancing : Lead refinancing activities, aligning them with the company’s objectives, and create financial models to engage investors and lenders. Banking & Stakeholder Relations : Manage and enhance relationships with banks and financial institutions, negotiating favourable terms to support refinancing efforts. Budget Leadership : Direct the planning and implementation of the 2025 budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals through clear analysis and insights. Team Management : Guide and support the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment during this transitional phase. Who We’re Looking For We are seeking a seasoned finance professional with significant experience in interim CFO roles, preferably within FMCG or similarly dynamic industries. Ideally you will have worked in founder ran companies. You should possess strong leadership abilities, a hands-on approach to problem-solving, and excellent communication skills to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Personal Attributes Professional finance qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) are preferred. Experience working within small, agile privately owned companies. Proven expertise in stabilising and restructuring businesses facing challenging circumstances. In-depth experience in the refinancing process and managing relationships with financial stakeholders. Strong financial planning and budgeting expertise, particularly in complex organisational environments. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and influence outcomes. A results-oriented mindset, capable of delivering solutions under pressure.
