Your role and responsibilities Your key objectives in this role will be to deliver a robust Information Governance service to Adult Social Care staff and people who have used our services requesting information. This would include the processing of Freedom of Information requests, Subject Access to records requests, security incidents, information sharing whilst adhering to GDPR policies and procedures. you'll help us to continue to build upon our centre of excellence in Adult Social Care for Information Governance by ensuring that our information is up to date on our internal and external websites you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Business, Engagement and Information Manager and the Head of Service to plan and support the work of the information governance board on a daily basis, you will be the central point for contacts by colleagues and will need to provide advice and support on all Information Governance issues ensuring compliance with policies and processes. You will need Information Governance will be at the heart of this role so it will be important for the candidate to have some experience in this field and a willingness to self develop in this arena to ensure that they are aware of the latest updates in the world of Information Governance that may impact practices and statutory requirements our ideal candidate will have excellent IT skills with a digital approach to work and will need to be able to work on their own initiative and at pace as necessary we will be looking for candidates with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and who are passionate about making a difference for the people of Suffolk by delivering an exceptional customer service in the field of Information Governance You'll have good organisational skills, and confidence to manage and chase actions required to meet out statutory timelines. The team the Business Management Team is based in Endeavour House but is part of the wider Business and Finance Service which is based across the county the Team is a key enabling function for Adult Social Care and has a good reputation for being flexible and delivering a good service as required we are a small yet dynamic team, and no day is the same in central Business Management. We are flexible and agile, regularly picking up new and exciting projects and delivering on tight deadlines our full team office day is usually on Wednesdays.
