An excellent opportunity has arisen for a registered Dietitian to join our friendly, proactive dietetic team based at Milton Keynes University Hospital.
This post will be a good opportunity to practice all you have learnt, to develop your knowledge and skills.
We will provide supervision and mentoring with experienced specialist dietitians.
Additional support will be available through our band 5 dietetic peer-support group, and they may be opportunities for CPD.
You should have excellent interpersonal and time management skills, with an ability to be flexible and have a strong commitment to teamwork. The successful candidate will work closely with community and acute colleagues to provide a holistic and patient-centred service.
To work as part of a team to provide nutrition and dietetic services to community patients of Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Trust. Part of this role is to assist in supporting Dietetic Students and Dietetic Assistants. The post holder will be an autonomous practitioner.
Main duties of the job
You will be joining our wider team of over 30 registered dietitians, dietetic support workers and admin staff, covering acute, community, paediatric and learning disability services.
We have excellent secretarial and dietetic assistantsupport andtake students for clinical placements from the University of Surrey and Coventry University. On site accommodation is usually available.

Job responsibilities
1. To develop and maintain a high standard of knowledge and practical experience in dietetics.
2. To provide nutritional therapy, education and support to community patients of MKUH.
3. To manage own caseload.
4. To draw up treatment plans for patients on caseload.
5. To take an active role in the multi-disciplinary care team [including meetings/ward rounds] and to liaise with nursing, medical and other health professionals as required.
6. To provide cover for the other community based Dietitians as required.

1. oAn appropriate degree recognised for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
