WHAT TO EXPECT
As an Inverter Power Electronics Technical Specialist within JLR's Advanced Power Electronics Group, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of JLR's next-generation inverter technology. This role goes beyond traditional engineering, placing you at the forefront of electric vehicle innovation, where you'll take ownership of the electronic and power electronic design, analysis, and release for JLR's Traction Inverters.
Working closely with teams across engineering, quality, and regulatory functions, you will ensure that JLR's power electronics systems meet and exceed industry standards such as ISO 26262. With the chance to lead technical advancements, engage with suppliers and research institutions, and implement engineering best practices, this role provides a unique platform to shape the future of JLR's inverter lineup.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
1. Provide line management and technical leadership for the Inverter Hardware Group.
2. Identify and lead advanced engineering projects in line with JLR's power electronics strategy.
3. Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers, universities, and research institutions.
4. Lead the deployment of JLR's hardware engineering, CAE, testing, and validation processes for inverter projects.
5. Drive team planning, mentoring, and resourcing, ensuring all functional and safety requirements are met.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
1. Proven track record in delivering complex inverter hardware projects in a mass production environment.
2. Extensive expertise in analog, digital, and power electronics, with a focus on high-voltage IGBTs and SiC MOSFETs.
3. Proficient in schematic capture and PCBA design, preferably using Altium.
4. Strong knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and design for PCB, EMC, and reliability.
5. Experienced in hardware circuit analysis (DFMEA, FMEDA) and failure mode avoidance techniques.
