The HSE Auditor operates across all of Yorkshire Water at both strategic and operational levels. The role is responsible for undertaking programmed and ad-hoc health, safety and environmental audits and inspections to provide assurance to the Board, Executive Team and Senior Leaders. Where you fit in: As our HSE Assurance - Auditor you will: Promote compliance with all regulatory and statutory health, safety and environmental obligations, and any other company obligations relevant to the HSE Department. Plan and conduct health, safety and environmental audits and inspections (both internally and also externally with our contractors, partners and training providers). Prepare high quality audit and inspection reports. Support Line Managers/Site Managers to address the identified corrective actions from audits/inspections and monitor implementation. Support the certification of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001. What skills & qualifications you will need: Able to display previous experience gained in a similar role. Knowledge and understanding of ISO 1400, ISO 45001 and ISO 19011. Audit and Inspection experience. Experience in writing audit and inspection plans and reports. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance is met. Full UK Driving Licence with ability to travel throughout the Yorkshire Region and other locations when required. IT Literate in the Microsoft suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. You will also benefit from having: Trained internal auditor. Lead Auditor qualification (e.g. ISO 9001/14001/45001) or similar. NEBOSH Diploma or similar. Professional Membership of IOSH, IEMA or similar. Technical knowledge and understanding of water/wastewater treatment processes and/or the infrastructure/utilities sector.
