Behaviour & Inclusion Support - Immediate starts - Full Time
We are currently looking for a Child Support Staff to work in a specialist setting based in Wakefield & the five towns area. These schools provide an education for students who can’t go to a mainstream school due to exclusion, illness, or other reasons, and would not otherwise receive suitable education. The particular groups you will be working with will be KS3 and KS4 children that are in transition to these new environments.
You may have some experience and, more importantly, a passion for working with young people aged 8-19. The work can be very rewarding; however, it can also be challenging, so you need to be resilient, calm, composed, and have the ability to manage challenging behaviour in the school. Many students have challenging home lives and have complex communication needs, learning difficulties, or are autistic, and some may occasionally present challenging behaviours.
