Policy Advisor, Rape, Serious Sexual Offences and Domestic Abuse Policy - the role The Rape, Serious Sexual Offences and Domestic Abuse Policy team is a friendly team delivering high-profile and fast-paced work at the heart of the justice agenda. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a challenging but rewarding role, supporting Ministers to ensure urgent improvements are made to improve the justice systems response to rape, serious sexual offences, and domestic abuse (RASSO and DA). We are looking for one enthusiastic and highly motivated HEO policy advisor to drive forward the delivery of work and development of policy to improve the justice response to RASSO and DA. The successful candidate will work primarily on policies to address and improve the justice response to domestic abuse and violence against women and girls. Responsibilities are variable, but are likely to include: Working closely with a SEO to drive forward the successful implementation of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021. Building strong working relationships across the MoJ and with other government departments and sector stakeholders to improve the justice system response to VAWG. Supporting the teams coordination and response to cross-cutting commissions, parliamentary questions, and correspondence on VAWG.
