WHAT TO EXPECT
The Group Reporting & Accounting (GR&A) team are leaders in technical and financial accounting. The team is critical for ensuring the quality, consistency and compliance of JLR's global financial accounting and for driving excellence within the Group's financial reporting process. The team has a key role in understanding and validating the Group's financials, as well as producing the monthly consolidation and quarterly external financial reporting.
As a Senior Group Reporting Analyst, you will support the wider finance business and GR&A teams by leading the external financial reporting process and taking a lead on liaising with JLR's parent company corporate reporting team and external auditors on all matters in relation to financial reporting, with a focus on technical reporting excellence and driving value within the reporting process.
This is a challenging role which includes process improvement and controls excellence, accounting judgements and financial reporting all within a complex global business environment that is embracing digital transformation.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
* Leading on all financial reporting matters, including production of Group consolidated financial statements under IFRS for year-end and quarter-end and production of parent company quarterly and annual reporting packs.
* Using your commercial knowledge to understand and challenge results and disclosures.
* Leading on preparation of complex and high-profile financial disclosures including cash flow statements, alternative performance measures, financial instruments, tax and pensions.
* Utilising financial reporting tools, including SAP and Oracle EPM, and automation to generate efficiencies in reporting processes and reviews, including the automation of inputs and outputs of the consolidation and financial reporting process.
* Be the primary point of contact for external auditors and parent company financial reporting team, managing deliverables and responding robustly to queries and challenges.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
* Be a qualified accountant.
* Experienced in a financial reporting role within a large multi-national business.
* Be an expert in IFRS and experienced in producing and reviewing complex financial statements under IFRS.
* Be articulate with great influencing and communication skills to build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
* Possess a willingness to challenge existing processes and proactively identify improvements.
