Role based at Heathrow Airport The EHSS Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring that Unifi Aviation UK operations adhere to industry and government regulations, through conducting audits, investigations, and inspections of aviation systems and procedures to guarantee safety and regulatory compliance. EHSS Compliance: Reporting to the EHSS Director UK the role will provide support EHSS programmes across multiple sites in the UK and Ireland in support of the business strategy to ensure adherence to a continuous improvement culture. The focus of the role is to support the EHSS Director in ensuring that the company is adhering to legislation and policies and that risks are identified and managed. The Role will be based in the field with regular travel to our Stations in the UK and Ireland as required. Key responsibilities To ensure stations remain up to date with all actions relating to safety or compliance events. To meet with Clients to enable support to stations during external audits conducted by our airline / airport partners. Conduct periodic audits of operational and maintenance areas to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards Review and analyse documentation, records, reports, and operational procedures To monitor work processes and procedures to identify unsafe practices or breach of safety regulations, conducting risk assessments to identify work areas with elevated risk of operational hazard To carry out investigations to identify the root cause of an incident or other unsafe conditions on a work site, collaborating with appropriate enforcement agents to address cases of workplace accident as and when required. To support the EHSS Director in preparing and where appropriate, presenting periodic report of safety operations to senior management. To assist in reviewing company operational processes to ensure they are in line with external safety legislations Support the company’s environmental initiatives by ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, reducing waste, and promoting sustainable practices across all operations. Analysing trends from audits and incident reports to recommend and implement corrective actions. Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge Organizational Skills: They are skilled in coordinating general workplace operations to ensure compliance safety standards. Communication Skill: They are able to provide company staff with useful safety information by means of clear language. Hold or be willing to work towards an appropriate audit qualification. Able to influence senior stakeholders to promote safety culture and deliver excellence within their field. Background Graduates looking for first step into Aviation also considered Previous experience working within Aviation, Manufacturing/Production or Military environment Problem solving Proven exposure to Safety & QA Understanding of safety risk management, airfield risk assessments, ground handling, aviation security, winter operations Full UK driving Licence required Requirement to complete CTC Clearance Strong IT skills- MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint You will need to be a considerate team player and someone who has the ability to work autonomously on their own initiative Experience in conducting monitoring audits and inspections and a solid understanding of risk management principles and techniques to support the SMS. Subject matter knowledge of aircraft presentation services, aircraft De-icing, and ground handling functions Good analytical skills Proficient use of Microsoft applications Flexibility to travel to our multiple airport locations UAA1
