We are currently seeking a Civil Design Manager with experience in the Waste and Generation sector to join any of our offices across the UK. This is an opportunity for you to play an important part in the U.K. systems and infrastructure across a wide range of Clients including Viridor, ConocoPhillips, HiiROC, SSE, and Thalia. You will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of projects including Energy from Waste plants, Hydrogen projects, Due Diligence projects, Digestion & Gas Engine schemes, Pre-FEED, and FEED studies.
As a Design Manager, you will partner with clients across the UK&I to lead in the development of innovative and sustainable solutions that address industry-wide challenges in efficiency and environmental impact. You will oversee the Pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed design processes for waste to energy systems, digestion, and power generation projects along with a range of hydrogen projects.
We are involved in new-build, refurbishments, upgrades, and retro-fit projects. You will foster a collaborative and supportive work environment where your team can thrive as well as contributing to the continued growth and success of Stantec's Energy sector teams.
About You
You will ideally be qualified with a Bachelor's/Masters degree in Civil Engineering (or related field). You will have strong experience in the Waste and Generation sector, ideally with a background in Civil Engineering.
You will be a pro-active individual with knowledge and experience of the energy industry. You will have the capability to coach and mentor juniors in the team and cross-collaborate across the business. You will be engaged in the engineering community and understand how we can drive success for our clients, including understanding innovative solutions and industry best practices.
You will have proven experience in the design management of Waste and Generation projects from concept to completion and have an in-depth knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
