They are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Ecologist to join their friendly and growing team. Key Responsibilities: Manage ecology projects and deliver multidisciplinary project requirements. Coordinate field surveys, including UK Habitat Classification surveys and protected species surveys. Undertake Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments and produce Biodiversity Gain Plans. Prepare high-quality deliverables, including PEAs, EcIAs, HRA screening reports, and ES Ecology Chapters. Develop mitigation strategies and advise clients on BNG opportunities and requirements. Act as the primary client contact and mentor junior team members. Write quotes and contribute to tenders for relevant projects. About You: Essential: Degree(s) in a relevant discipline and CIEEM membership. At least 4-5 years consultancy experience. Strong project management skills, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. Proven experience in producing PEAs, EcIAs, and BNG assessments using Statutory Metric 4.0. Knowledge of the UK planning system, legislation, and policy. Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills. Desirable: NE survey licence(s) (especially for bats). Botanical identification skills (FISC Level 3/4). Experience preparing EPS licence applications. Why Join Our Client?
