About The Engineering Team
Based within the Operational division of the business, The Engineering Team is responsible for the complete asset care management across all sites including pro-active and re-active maintenance to ensure that minimum disruption is caused to the business.
Maintenance Engineer (Electrical) – Shift Lead
Reporting to Head of Projects & Engineering, the Maintenance Engineer (Electrical) - Shift Lead is responsible for ensuring all reactive and proactive preventative maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to the required level and any impact on production demand is kept to a minimum. Ensure the scheduling of works is appropriate, raising any purchase orders and ensuring all orders are delivered on time for seamless completion and distributing of works.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Communicating effectively and positively with all teams, colleagues, and managers.
2. Take reasonable care for the health and safety for yourself and other persons who may be affected by your work.
3. Cooperate with regards to all company health & safety measures, following H&S training when using equipment.
4. Report to a person in authority any work situation which may represent a serious or imminent danger to health & safety.
5. Help to promote a positive working atmosphere within the company.
6. Any other duties that may be required from time to time.
Role Requirements:
1. Ensure proactive and reactive electrical maintenance is completed according to priority and in a timely manner.
2. Carry out fault diagnosis accurately to identify problems with machinery and systems.
3. Carry out the appropriate electrical testing and certifications where required and ensure all wiring is up to date with the latest BS7671 wiring regulations.
4. Complete all elements of the asset care system (AMS) to ensure it remains effective.
5. Maintain consistently high standards in all works and documentation.
6. Collaborate with Compounding and Production to ensure maintenance planning is effective.
7. Ensure your training remains up to date.
8. Communicate with suppliers when parts are required, seeking quotes, raising POs, and tracking the delivery.
9. Attend and contribute to the daily Short Interval Control (SIC) meetings.
10. Monitor OEE and identify any patterns or trends and identify improvement measures where required.
