Job summary
Develop and maintain a strong Indian Motorcycle Dealer network to meet and exceed Polaris UK & Ireland national sales objectives for ‘Indian Motorcycle’ wholesale & retail growth, increasing market share and upgrading the dealer network while projecting a professional image on behalf of Indian Motorcycles.
Successfully sell Motorcycles, Parts, Garments & Accessories (PG&A), and use dealer development tools and programs to help achieve wholesale & retail goals.
Grow business through existing Dealer Network
1. Set, track and monitor sales targets for all Dealers, in alignment with Indian Motorcycle UK targets.
2. Keep close connection with all Dealers by conducting frequent field visits and hosting online conferences.
3. Improve network efficiency by delivering sales trainings, product trainings, business process trainings on a regular basis.
4. Take part in and/or organize Dealer Meetings.
5. In partnership with EMEA Sales Management and Local Marketing, build & execute adequate promo plans in line with Retail targets.
6. Ensure execution of PGA programs (Stocking Order program, Apparel Pre-Order program, etc) in line with PGA targets.
7. Monitor and manage your order bank on a daily basis – and optimize shipments by working in close collaboration with your local CSR Team.
8. Support Marketing with preparation and execution of events, shows and fairs.
9. Support IMR/IMRG loyalty program execution with all Dealerships.
Expand Dealer Network
1. In partnership with the Dealer Development Manager, identify opportunities for new Dealership openings.
2. Conduct prospecting and recruitment of new Dealers.
3. Ensure new Dealerships are compliant with Indian Motorcycle CI (Corporate Identity) policies.
4. Onboard new Dealers by providing required trainings (Sales, Products, Processes)
Skills & Knowledge
1. Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or related field.
2. 3-5 years’ field sales and retail sales experience with proven track record required.
3. Experience within motorcycle industry (retail or OEM)
4. Solid understanding of Dealer Development and Dealer Network relationship building
5. Need to have good analytical capabilities and be a team player
6. Results driven: deliver or exceed Retail, Revenue, Margin & Market Share targets.
7. Proven track record of launching new products and developing marketing strategies
8. Willing to develop: continuous learning from all available in-house trainings courses & competitive landscape understanding
9. Direct experience working with an American company is preferred.
Working Conditions
1. Significant travel within territory
2. Some European & International travel to remote locations for corporate functions
3. Some weekend and evening work will be required.
