Project Manager - Tech Systems Our client, a key player in the public sector, is seeking an experienced and capable Project Manager to lead essential fleet system projects within their Service Operations division. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong expertise in engineering project management and has a proven record of building effective stakeholder relationships. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the development and implementation of fleet and business systems, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality project delivery. Salary £48,000 - £54,000 Private Health plan Pension Multiple other perks Key Responsibilities: Lead the implementation of new vehicle and business systems, including technologies such as CCTV, WiFi, and Enterprise Asset Management, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Manage projects strategically, balancing time, budget, and quality considerations to meet company standards. Actively engage stakeholders at all levels, fostering positive relationships to ensure collaborative project support and alignment. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key contacts across departments and external partners to facilitate smooth project execution. Apply project management best practices to define requirements, create mandates, and set project plans and schedules, forming cross-functional teams as needed. Ensure consistent tracking and reporting on project progress, providing clear updates to Service Operations and the P3O Office. Conduct regular audits and performance assessments to maintain high standards in project management processes. Coordinate contract and supplier management for Service Operations projects, monitoring performance against KPIs to ensure contract compliance. Collaborate closely with internal teams, aligning project outcomes with operational goals and providing guidance for seamless integration into business operations. Qualifications & Experience: Essential: Proven experience in managing engineering projects, with strong stakeholder engagement, contracts management and relationship-building skills. Excellent organisational abilities, with a keen eye for detail and capacity to work under tight deadlines. Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline, with a formal project management qualification. Strong knowledge of health and safety, environmental, and employment legislation, along with a commitment to continuous learning. Desirable: Experience working within unionised environments, with knowledge of vehicle system technologies. Demonstrated ability to manage projects across multiple sites within large organisations.
