Job Title: HR Director (FTC)
Duration: 6–9 months
Location: Flexible (London, Midlands, North East, or North West) – Commutable to HQ in North Leicester, with travel as required
Package: c£100k + 25% target bonus (max 50%), car allowance £7400
Availability: ASAP
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced HR Director for a fixed-term contract. This operationally focused role will provide vital support to the HR function during a period of transition. Reporting to the HR Lead, you will play a key role in driving improvements in key performance indicators and enhancing communication and engagement across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing critical support on three key projects:
1. Navigating and managing the landscape of trade union relationships.
2. Optimising the use of Workday to streamline processes and reduce transactional work.
3. Reviewing and harmonising policies, terms, and conditions across regions.
2. Provide hands-on support to address immediate operational challenges, working closely with a small dedicated team.
3. Collaborate with the wider HR function, including Centres of Excellence for Resourcing, Communications, and Employment Relations.
4. Be a visible leader, engaging with teams across London, the Midlands, North East, and North West.
What We're Looking For:
1. A strong HR generalist with the ability to quickly add value and dive into the detail when needed.
2. Proven experience in managing trade union relationships and navigating complex negotiations.
3. Hands-on expertise with Workday, focusing on operational efficiency.
4. A pragmatic problem solver who can prioritise effectively and roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
5. Demonstrated success in implementing and embedding new terms and conditions.
6. Flexibility to travel regularly.
