A secondment opportunity has arisen for the role of Social Work Team Manager based in the Infant and Family Team (GIFT) in Govan, Glasgow.
The successful applicant will require a social work qualification and be expected to hold direct line management responsibility for social workers and lead the service in the continuing development of the NSPCC Strategy. We are developing our innovative services further and building on our strong foundations of valued support to children and families.
If you have experience of working with children and families, are skilled in identifying and addressing safeguarding, and are interested in applying for this exceptional post, we would love to hear from you.
Line management experience is an advantage but not crucial for the secondment period of this post.
GIFT is a multi-disciplinary team, carrying out therapeutic assessments and interventions and working collaboratively across professional disciplines to address the needs of vulnerable infants and children. The composition of the team includes Social Workers, Clinical Psychologists, and workers with Lived Experience.
Candidates need to demonstrate:
1. Excellent communication and assessment skills,
2. Extensive knowledge and experience of Safeguarding and Infant Mental Health,
3. A passion to drive improved outcomes for Infants, Children, and their families, and
4. A commitment to inclusive practice.
