About the role This is a pivotal post within the Faculty senior leadership team and provides an excellent opportunity for the right applicant to develop a career in an executive support role and gain experience of university management and leadership. The post holder will be responsible to the Deputy Director of Operations and must be confident in supporting senior staff working from multiple sites and locations. Appointment details: The post is Grade 7, the annual salary for which ranges from £43,124 to £51,610 (including London Allowance). The appointment is available from January 2025. About you The Faculty Executive Assistant (EA) is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the Director of Operations, Deputy Director of Operations and Dean of the Faculty. They will work closely with the broader Faculty Executive and senior professional services staff across the Faculty, Life and Medical Sciences (LMS), central UCL and external partners such as the Medical Research Council and the Welcome Trust. The EA is responsible for leading on aspects of the Faculty Office’s work and will support projects within the Faculty. The EA undertakes managing correspondence, preparation for meetings including creating agendas, compiling papers, taking minutes, preparing reports, interviews and taking forward specific projects and events. The EA will also support diary management; arranging appointments, meetings, visits and travel covering for absence when required. There is scope to develop event management and media skills, organising Faculty events and producing various Faculty communications working closely with the Faculty Communications and Marketing team. The EA may take on additional responsibilities and projects, working independently and helping to facilitate change.
