This Lead Software Developer role involves working collaboratively with Project Leads, Simulation Architects, and the project team to develop synthetic environments using C-family programming languages.
The role combines technical leadership, project management, and team building, allowing the successful candidate to grow their skills and abilities while supporting the full development lifecycle.
* The role will offer the opportunity to drive technical innovation through a synthetic environment and work on advanced defence systems from initial concepts to in-service support and training.
* You will be part of the team developing new innovative ways and capabilities to support weapon systems development for domestic and international customers.
A strong background in software (C# and C++) and system-wide impact is essential for this role. The successful candidate will have an open approach to software development and excellent communication skills.
Experience in the Defence/Aerospace or safety-regulated environment would be advantageous, as would exposure to real-time software development and simulation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a small software development team to advance the technical development of synthetic environments/simulation components.
* Develop software that can be used across multiple products and projects.
