We have a rewarding opportunity available for a Female Peer Support Worker to join our Community Rehabilitation Team based in Central Bristol. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis working 18.75 hours per week including daytime, evening and weekend working on a rota basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £25,359 - £27,449 pro rata per annumand benefits. Working within a recovery and psychologically informed approach, taking a holistic view to support people's recovery to live fulfilling lives. You will ensure that services are tailored to individual's cultural and social needs. Key duties and responsibilities of our Peer Support Worker: Be an expert through personal lived experience of mental health recovery; to draw upon lived experience of mental health support needs and recovery to assist people to move forward positively Be active in your own recovery and show a willingness to share recovery experience Maintain hope and optimism for the individual with high expectations for recovery and build trusting and collaborative relationships with service users and other agencies Identify, assess, contribute, maintain and manage risk to ensure risk is minimised Co-produce, implement and review recovery plans, crisis plans and other self-management tools e.g. Wellness Recovery Action Plan, in partnership with service users and best practice What we are looking for in our ideal Peer Support Worker: Experience working with people with mental health needs, or people with complex and multiple needs (for example, homelessness, alcohol/drug dependency, long term conditions, domestic abuse and sexual violence) Able to demonstrate ability to work alone and as part of a team, working with others and managing own time effectively and making best use of personal development, supervision and training opportunities Proven knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures relating to children and adults A current, full driving licence and access to an appropriate vehicle, with business insurance is desirable Please apply now to join us as our Peer Support Workerand contribute to the valuable work Missing Link and its wider services do.
