We have a fixed term position available due to organisational growth. Experience of working in a primary care setting is essential and the applicant must have a minimum of 2 years experience of working as a HCA. In general, the post holder will be expected to undertake all of the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a Health Care Assistant working in primary care.
Main duties of the job
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
1. Assisting with long term conditions clinics such as diabetes, asthma, COPD
2. NHS Health Checks
3. Flu and Pneumonia vaccinations
4. ECGs
5. Suture and clip removal
6. New patient health checks
7. Ordering nursing stock and equipment
8. Precise and accurate recording on patient records
You will work alongside the existing nursing team to ensure:
1. Stock levels are maintained by ordering, rotation and sorting deliveries.
2. Completion of cleanliness, infection prevention control measures and health and safety requirement of the role.
3. Doctors are supported in their clinics.
4. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all patients.

Job responsibilities
The successful candidate must cover General Practice HCA duties delivering the highest level of care and assistance.

6. Smoking Cessation
7. ECGs
8. BP checks
9. B12 injections
10. Suture and clip removal
11. Ordering nursing stock and equipment
12. Precise and accurate recording on patient records
You will work alongside the existing nursing team to ensure:
1. Stock levels are maintained by ordering, rotation and sorting deliveries.
2. Completion of cleanliness, infection prevention control measures and health and safety requirement of the role.
3. Doctors are supported in their clinics.
4. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all patients.

* Medical administration (1 year).
