The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the Reception team for two days per week. You will support the class teacher in delivering an engaging and inspiring curriculum, ensuring every child thrives in a warm, stimulating environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist the teacher in planning and delivering creative, hands-on lessons.
2. Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils, fostering their academic and personal development.
3. Contribute to creating a welcoming and organised classroom environment.
4. Support children with their phonics, numeracy, and early literacy skills.
5. Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are maintained.
The Ideal Candidate:
1. Prior experience working with children in Key Stage 1 or Early Years is essential.
2. A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
3. Excellent communication skills and a caring, patient nature.
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
5. Commitment to upholding the school’s values and ethos.
