UX Research Operations Executive c. £43,000 per annum Bedford Based (occasional travel to London) Hybrid Working 18 months FTC As a UX Research Operations Executive at Money and Pensions Service (MaPS), you will be part of the User Centred Design team. The role will help us ensure that users (particularly those with the highest needs) help us improve our products and services through a new user panel that we are developing. You will initially collaborate with the product team, within the Money Helper Pension Dashboard (MHPD) project and Pensions Dashboards Programme (PDP) and be responsible for co-ordinating the panel recruitment for two phases of research, in- person moderated testing and online/remote unmoderated testing. Once this is completed you would apply learnings from this work to a panel to support all UR research. If you have previously worked in roles such as Research Operations Executive, UX Research Operations, UX Researcher, User Researcher, User Experience Researcher, Junior UX/Researcher, or administrative roles within a similar environment then this role could be for you. In this role you will be responsible for the following; Drive all aspects of the UX research operations coordination program across MaPS End to End Journey testing. Maintain deep working knowledge of the participant recruitment process and establish best practices for participant recruitment. Help ensure that participants have a safe and positive experience of our panel and contributing to our research. Manage day-to-day recruitment administration tasks, such as organising payments and collecting consent. Use MS forms and teams for development of screeners and consent forms. Anticipate and troubleshoot recruitment challenges as they arise. Work with participants, including some with accessibility needs such as visual impairments, cognitive impairments and anxiety. Use in-house participant panels for recruitment where possible. Stay aware of and implement GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) policies and GDS standards. Establish best practices for participant recruitment. You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience; Self-motivated and self-managing, with strong organizational skills. Knowledge of user centred design processes and best practices. Empathetic, curious, and open-minded when interacting with research participants and colleagues. Simultaneously manage multiple projects and time-driven tasks in an Agile working environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills to keep teams informed on progress. Understanding of effective sampling, screening and consent process in research management. Attention to detail. General understanding of research ethics and how to comply with GDPR requirements and GDS standards. Willingness to undertake occasional travel within the UK for in-person research. Logistics - booking travel and accommodation, data handling, participant handling and hosting. Desirable: Knowledge and experience of using online community platforms/panel software e.g. Consent Kit. Knowledge and experience of using task based unmoderated testing software e.g. User Zoom/Indeemo. Knowledge and experience of using MS Forms and MS Teams secure channels. Experience of running internal participant recruitment (through internal contacts, GOV.UK panels and external recruitment agencies). General administration (emails, bookings, phone calls, printing).
