What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a genuine passion for music and a commitment to providing high-quality music education. The ideal candidate will be:
* A qualified teacher (holding QTS or equivalent).
* Experienced in teaching Music at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Experience teaching Key Stage 5 (A-Level Music, BTEC Music, or similar) is desirable but not essential.
* Proficient in at least one musical instrument and/or voice.
* Passionate about music and able to inspire students of all abilities.
* An excellent classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills.
* Committed to raising student achievement and fostering a love of music.
* A collaborative team player who is willing to contribute to the wider school community, including extra-curricular music activities.
* Dedicated to their own professional development.
* A skilled Music Teacher
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging Music lessons across the relevant Key Stages.
* Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with varying musical experience.
* Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback, both written and practical.
* Maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress.
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes musical creativity, performance, and appreciation.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Music department and across the school.
* Contribute to the development and delivery of extra-curricular music activities, such as choirs, orchestras, bands, and school productions.
* Organize and prepare students for performances, both internal and external.
* Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
* Ensure all pupils are safe.
